Ceremonies « Thread Started on Sept 3, 2007, 6:15am » Kay, for the benifit of any and all leadres, I make this post on how to hold ceremony for your Clan. Always start with: "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here benath the -your Clan's meeting area, lets say Knotted Tree- Knotted Tree for a Clan meeting." Apprentice Ceremony "We are gathered here beneath the [clan meeting place] to ackknlowledge a new apprentice" "[kit name], from now on, you will be known as [apprentice name, must end with 'paw']" "[New mentor's name], you are ready to take an apprentice, you will be [apprentice's name] menotor" "[mentor name], you have known [two virtues of the mentor]. expect you to pass on all your skills to [apprentice name], so that he/she may be an honorable warrior of [cats Clan]." The new mentor and apprentice touch noses Warrior Ceremony "[Mentors name], are you satisfied that this apprentice is ready to become a warrior?" Mentor answers "I, [leaders name], leader of [leaders Clan] call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He/she has worked hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her a warrior in her turn. [Apprentice name], do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Apprentice answers "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. [Apprentice name], from now on, you will be known as [new warrior name]. The Clan honours your courage and [another virtue of the new warrior] , and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." Leader rests muzzle on new warrior, and warrior licks shoulder in return. The Clan calls new warrior by name, then the warrior sits silent vigil that night. Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony Held at the Starlit Cave "[kits name], is it your wish to enter the mysteries of StarClan?" kit answers "Then come forward. Warriors of StarClan, I present to you this apprentice. He/she has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant him/her your wisdom and insight, so that he/she may understand your ways and heal his/her Clan in accordance with your will. Now, crouch down and drink from the pool." Apprentice does so and shares dreams with StarClan Medicine Cat Ceremony Held at Starlit Cave "I, [medicine cat's name], medicine cat of [Clan], call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. he/she has trained hard to understand the way of a medicine cat, and with your help, he/she will serve his/her Clan for many moons. [Apprentice name], do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?" Apprentice answers "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your true medicine cat name. [Apprentice name], from this moment on, you shall be known as [new med. cat name].
